• Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Monitor systems for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
• Design and implement security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security technologies and trends to proactively address potential security issues.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security measures are integrated into overall system design.
• Create and maintain security documentation and incident response plans.
• Manage security incidents and conduct post-incident analysis.
• Train and educate staff on security best practices.
• Monitor security compliance and ensure adherence to regulations and standards.

• Reduce the number of security incidents within a set timeframe.

• Improve system uptime following security enhancement implementations.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards such as GDPR and ISO 27001.
• Develop and implement a disaster recovery plan with a set recovery time objective (RTO).

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification.
• Minimum of X years of experience in IT security roles, with at least Y years in a managerial capacity.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security risks.
• Experience with security tools such as firewalls, antivirus programs, intrusion detection systems, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of security professionals.
• Familiarity with security compliance standards and regulations.
• Proven track record of successful security incident response and risk management.
