Software Engineer

We are looking for a professional Software Engineer to occupy an essential role in the Product Development Department of a thriving Software as a Service (SaaS) company with limitless prospects in the future.

In this role, you will:

• Improve system quality by identifying issues and common patterns and develop standard operating procedures.
• Write the software behind the digital service that the company sells.
• Share your suggestions with product designers to improve the service usability, efficiency and effectiveness.
• Construct and be accountable to project timelines and checkpoints.
• Continually upskill and follow the latest trends in order to create the most modern and relevant software output.
• Attend meetings with the Product Creation Team to brainstorm, collaborate, suggest improvements and give feedback.
• Communicate respectfully, effectively and frequently with colleagues regarding relevant due dates and product content.
• Scrutinise existing software and improve it when possible.
• Be expected to be incredibly organised with regard to timeliness, project work and communications especially emails.
  

About You:

Core qualifications:

•  A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related fields is essential. Expertise in at least one high-level programming language such as Python, JavaScript, SQL etc. required.
• Consistently up to date with the latest developments in hardware systems and coding.

• A passion for solving problems and providing workable solutions
• Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills with an ability to visualise processes and outcomes
• Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and debugging a large codebase
• Outstanding all-round communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
