A Senior Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Officer is a high-level executive responsible for ensuring that an organization adheres to legal regulations, internal policies, and industry standards. They oversee and manage the company’s governance frameworks, risk management strategies, and compliance protocols. 

In essence, they ensure that the business operates smoothly and within the boundaries of the law while minimizing risks and safeguarding the organization’s reputation.

The Senior GRC Officer develops and implements strategies to ensure the organization meets regulatory requirements and industry standards, creating policies and frameworks that align with company goals while managing risks. They oversee compliance with laws and internal policies, addressing issues proactively. The company's assets are protected by identifying and mitigating financial, operational, and reputational risks. 

Leading and training a team of GRC professionals, they ensure all employees adhere to compliance and risk management practices. They report regularly to senior management and the board on the company’s risk profile and compliance status, communicating findings and recommendations effectively.

Working closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders, you'll design and implement robust GRC policies, monitor adherence, and provide crucial reports and recommendations to ensure informed decision-making and sustained organizational success.

• Lead the risk management function, identifying and assessing potential risks to the business.
• Develop and maintain the company's governance framework and policies.
• Implement compliance procedures to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and standards.
• Monitor and report on key risk indicators and compliance metrics to senior management.
• Investigate any breaches of governance or compliance and recommend corrective actions.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; a Master's degree is a plus.

• 5+ years of experience in governance, risk management, compliance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CFE, CIA, or CRMA is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
