Safety Trainer

A Safety Trainer for Construction educates construction workers about safety practices and regulations. They focus on ensuring that all team members understand the risks associated with construction work and how to mitigate them.

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of cultivating a safety-first culture within the construction industry by designing and delivering engaging training programs tailored to diverse teams' needs.

Collaborating with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders, you’ll create comprehensive training materials, conduct remote training sessions, and provide ongoing support to reinforce safety protocols. Your efforts will help instill a solid commitment to safety, contributing to the well-being of every team member and the success of our projects!

• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at various levels within the company.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and assessments to identify potential hazards and risks.
• Create safety manuals, guidelines, and documentation to support training initiatives.
• Collaborate with management to implement safety policies and procedures.
• Provide coaching and guidance on safety best practices and compliance standards.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety training programs.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and trends in safety training.
• Coordinate and conduct emergency response drills and simulations.
• Investigate and report on incidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
• Lead safety meetings and discussions to address safety-related issues.
• Support safety-related audits and assessments.

• Provide recommendations for improving safety standards and procedures.
• Mentor and train new employees on safety protocols.

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Management, or related field.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Proven experience as a safety trainer or similar role in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and safety training software/tools.
• Prior experience in developing safety training materials and programs.
• Ability to effectively influence and motivate others towards safety compliance.
