Medical Scribes work closely with healthcare providers during patient visits to capture detailed medical histories, symptoms, examination findings, and treatment plans. They transcribe this information into EHRs in real time, ensuring that records are thorough, accurate, and up-to-date. 

Medical Scribes also coordinate with healthcare providers to clarify any unclear information, assist with administrative tasks, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality requirements.

• Accompany healthcare providers during patient visits to accurately document medical histories, symptoms, physical exams, and treatment plans.
• Transcribe medical information into electronic health records in real time during patient encounters.
• Maintain organized and detailed patient records to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers to clarify any unclear or incomplete information in patient records.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing phone calls, and maintaining medical charts.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure timely, accurate documentation and information sharing.
• Adhere to all legal and confidentiality requirements regarding patient information.
• Provide support to healthcare providers during procedures and examinations.
• Assist in managing incoming and outgoing patient referrals.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in medical documentation.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and manage workload efficiently.
• Demonstrate a high level of attentiveness and accuracy in documenting medical information.
• Stay up-to-date with medical terminology and best practices in medical documentation.

• Maintain 100% accuracy in transcribing patient information into electronic health records.
• Ensure all patient records are up-to-date and completed within the specified timeframe.
• Facilitate smooth communication and information flow between healthcare providers and other team members.
• Improve efficiency in documentation processes, leading to reduced errors and enhanced patient care.
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through timely and accurate record-keeping.
• Meet or exceed productivity targets while maintaining high standards of quality.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience spanning 3-5 years.
• Certification as a Medical Scribe is preferred.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and transcription.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Problem-solving abilities to address documentation challenges.
