What are we looking for:
We are in search of a Governance, Risk and Compliance Officer who desires to be part of an exciting organization that rewards and appreciates its team members.
In your role, you will advise the management team about legal issues related to all the organization’s contracts (e.g. government regulations, contracts, compliance, taxes, and labor). This role will also be responsible for implementing company programs, policies and best practices to ensure compliance to company policies, labor code regulations and international standards.
This role is 100% work from home.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct research and analysis of the organization’s legal issues and concerns.
- Advising, drafting and negotiating on all contracts and agreements with internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for process optimization for Contract revisions, appending, consolidation, issuance, signing, organization, etc.
- Manage and organize all Contract records from Client contracts and agreements to Independent Contractor agreements and related documentation.
- Examine the legal issues related to new products, services and business contracts.
- Prepare reporting documents for submission to various government agencies (SEC DTI, BIR and LGU's)
- Prepare documents needed in the application for renewal of business license, certificates, and permits.
- Design and oversee the company’s policies and procedures to be in regulation with local labor codes.
- Guide management on regulatory and compliance issues to ensure adherence with legal regulations.
- Protect the company against legal risks and violations by ensuring due process is observed in all employee proceedings and management, and in contract phraseology.
- Perform audit checks and control management of Company Code of Conduct & Employee Handbook and ensure due process is followed throughout the proceedings.
About You:
Core qualifications:
- Qualified Legal Counsel and Compliance Officer with a minimum of 3 years experience
- Expert on your national Labor Code and related Government mandates.
- Excellent legal analytical skills with the ability to untangle and analyze complex legal issues and to integrate legal advice and business knowledge, while providing balanced, strategic advice regarding risks and benefits
- Excellent command of the English language (Oral & written)
- Must be able to analyze large amounts of information, determine relevant facts, and propose viable solutions.
- Experience working with C-Level executives having had exposure to high-level discussions big plus
- Display a high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Competency in using various tools & softwares (Google Suite, HRIS, Hubspot, etc.)
- Highly organized and analytical
- Ability to manage and complete tasks at hand within an agreed and reasonable time schedule
